Action Triggers - Investment Companion

✅ How to Use This Page (Prometheus Trigger System)

This page is not telling you what to do. It is helping you remember how you chose to behave when you were calm, rational, and thinking long-term.

Prometheus triggers exist to reduce emotional fatigue and make future decisions easier, safer, and more consistent.

1. When a Floor Trigger Hits (🔴 BUY ZONES)

A floor doesn't mean "buy now." It means "This is the price where Calm-Ryan decided it was worth re-evaluating."

When a floor alert fires:

  • Pause.
  • Check: Is the original thesis still intact?
  • Is the macro environment stable enough?
  • Has anything fundamentally changed?
  • If yes → follow your predefined plan (buy the amount listed).
  • If no → dismiss the alert and note why.

Floors = buy meaningful weakness, not noise.

2. When a Ceiling Trigger Hits (🟢 TRIM ZONES)

A ceiling doesn't mean "sell now." It means "This is where future euphoria was expected."

When a ceiling alert fires:

Check if the stock is:

  • Extended in valuation
  • Overconcentrated in your portfolio
  • Overheating technically

If it aligns → trim or rebalance as planned. If not → dismiss and log what changed.

Ceilings = protect gains, reduce risk, keep balance.

3. Category Matters (Core vs Innovation vs Experimental)

Each stock belongs to a category with different rules:

  • Core ETFs (VTI, VXUS, SCHD, VOO, VNQ) → Floors only. Almost never sell. Long-term compounding.
  • Innovation / AI (NVDA, MSFT, GOOGL, AVGO) → Floors + ceilings. Let winners run, trim when overheated.
  • Dividends & Defensive (JNJ, CVX) → Floors mostly. Ceilings optional if valuation stretches.
  • Experimental / Moonshots (PLTR) → Small position. Floors tiny, ceilings aggressive. No diamond hands.

4. Triggers Reduce Emotional Noise

Prometheus triggers are designed to help you:

  • Avoid panic buying
  • Avoid panic selling
  • Avoid boredom trades
  • Build long-term wealth through consistency
  • Make decisions based on process, not mood

You created these zones when you were thinking clearly. The system exists to protect you from emotional Ryan on volatile days.

5. The Final Rule: Re-Check Before Acting

No matter what fires, always confirm:

  • Fundamentals
  • Technical trend
  • Macro-risk environment
  • Your own cash position & goals

If everything lines up → act. If anything feels wrong → don't.

No trigger is a command. Each one is a reflection of your best self thinking long-term.
